During 2012–2013, WHO Sudan is focusing its support to the Government of Sudan through the following main programmes:
Communicable disease surveillance and response
Control of neglected tropical diseases
Emergency preparedness and humanitarian action
Expanded Programme on Immunization
Health protection, promotion and community development
Health systems and services development
HIV/AIDS prevention and control
Malaria control and elimination
As the lead agency, WHO plays a key role in fostering partnerships and coordinating all health interventions in Sudan. Programme activities are funded through both WHO’s regular budget and voluntary contributions from donors.
