WHO Representative Dr Palitha Mahipala and Chief Executive Officer of the Drug Regulatory Authority Mr Asim Rauf chair meeting

31 August 2021 – To discuss the national strategy for COVID-19 vaccine production in Pakistan, the WHO country office in Pakistan conducted a meeting with Pakistan's Drug Regulatory Authority of the Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination and National Vaccine Manufactures in Islamabad.

WHO Representative in Pakistan Dr Palitha Mahipala and Chief Executive Officer of the Drug Regulatory Authority Mr Asim Rauf chaired the meeting. 

During the meeting, Dr Mahipala reaffirmed WHO support to the Drug Regulatory Authority for vaccine production and Mr Rauf expressed his appreciation of WHO's technical and financial support for the development of a national strategy on vaccination production in the country.
