Clinics_delivered_to_Benghazi24 April 2018 – The World Health Organization (WHO) delivered 2 mobile medical clinics to Benghazi on 10 April, funded by European Union Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid (ECHO).

These mobile clinics aim to support provision of health care services to the most vulnerable people in east Libya who have very limited access to health services, including displaced populations residing in camps and informal settlements.

Mobile clinics offer flexible and viable options for outreach health care service delivery. The demand for mobile health care is increasing due to the lack of a functional primary health care system in Libya.

"We are very pleased about the arrival of these new mobile clinics which will provide round-the-clock health services for vulnerable populations in Libya, provision of these clinics would not have been possible without the support of ECHO," said Dr Jaffar Hussein, WHO Representative for Libya.
