A workshop on managing medicines and pharmaceutical supplies for tuberculosis (TB) was held from 9 to 13 June 2013. The workshop was conducted under the supervision of the national centre for disease control. A total of 31 participants attended the workshop including TB programme officers from all over Libya. The workshop objectives were to:
provide overview on TB situation and treatment;
select TB first and second line medicines;
discuss the effectiveness of TB combined medicines in treatment of TB multiple drug resistent and extreme drug resistent cases.
TB programme decision makers were debriefed on the role of the Global Drug facility and its services during the workshop.
