World Antibiotics Awareness Week will be celebrated in the Eastern Mediterranean Region from 12 to 18 November 2018. The campaign aims to target the general public, health professionals, governments, and the food, animal and agricultural sectors to raise awareness of the problem of antibiotic resistance and highlight the importance of using antibiotics responsibly as their misuse puts us all at risk.
The Week will begin with an event for the press at the WHO Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean.
