WHO hosted the 21st annual meeting of WHO collaborating centres for violence and injury prevention in Geneva from 29 to 30 November 2011. Discussions focused on the draft strategy for the violence and injury prevention programme; the Global Alliance for Care of the Injured and the Global Network for Child Injury Prevention; the use of social media to prevent violence and injuries; and the 11th World Conference on Injury Prevention and Safety Promotion.
