IHR training toolkit for epidemiologists

Print PDF

The IHR training toolkit for epidemiologists aims at providing a common learning framework and related contents - standard quality materials - to promote a sustainable approach to capacity building and learning on IHR core capacities.

The training toolkit, based on course material developed for the IHR implementation course, is to be used by relevant training institutions (field epidemiology training programmes, schools of public health, etc.) to design and deliver customized training modules on the IHR adapted to local context and needs, and to be integrated into existing training programmes for epidemiologists.

A draft version of the IHR training toolkit for epidemiologists is currently being finalized and will be field tested early July in Cairo, Egypt, in collaboration with EMPHNET (Eastern Mediterranean Public Health Network) and the Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean.
