Pictorial health warnings on tobacco packages are a cost-effective means to increase public awareness about the dangers of tobacco use.

The WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (FCTC) requires state parties to introduce, among other tobacco control measures, large, graphic health warnings on cigarette packs.

The WHO country office supports the Ministry of Health and Population in the implementation of tobacco control interventions in Egypt in line with evidence-based best practices and policies.
