Partners agreed on the need to develop a web-based portal that will highlight national priorities and seek partners for support in these areas. In addition, the portal will demonstrate the exerted efforts of partners in the field of prevention and control of viral hepatitis.

The portal will be a way for bilateral communication between the Ministry and partners and will be a real data source for the media and community to raise awareness and encourage community engagement and ensure utilization of limited resources.

1.2 million Egyptians living with hepatitis C have been treated since October 2015 and almost 3 million Egyptian were tested for hepatitis C.
