Tackling severe acute malnutrition: RUTFs as an innovative approach

Use of highly fortified, ready-to-use therapeutic foods (RUTFs) is an innovative approach for community-based management of severe acute malnutrition, for children over the age of six months with a good appetite and no medical complications, even in settings where hygiene conditions are sub-optimal.
