The EMRO website on Child Health and Development developed by the CAH unit with support from the HIT unit was launched a year ago on 7 April 2005 on occasion of the World Health Day, which was dedicated to mother and child health (“Make every mother and child count”). The website has attracted about 4000 visits to date. Since its launching, it has been updated, based also on users’ suggestions and comments, and new sections have been added. This year theme of the World Health Day (“Working together for health”), devoted to health workers, is also very much related to child health as it is to the management and delivery of any health care service.
