WHO is supporting the control of several neglected tropical diseases, namely drancunculiasis, visceral leishmaniasis, human African trypanosomiasis, leprosy, lymphatic filariasis and soil-transmitted helminthiases-schistosomiasis.WHO provides medicines, diagnostic supplies and training to national health personnel. It also supports the Ministry of Health in the surveillance system by collecting and analysing data. WHO provides regular technical support in establishing guidelines for disease control.
