To scale up testing for COVID-19 as a critical first line of defence by health systems, WHO, with the support of European Union Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid, Embassy of Korea, Pandemic Emergency Financing Facility, and the World Bank, has delivered essential laboratory supplies and equipment to 9 provinces across Afghanistan.

In Libya, WHO conducted two 2-day workshops to teachers and students between 9 and 12 years of age. Participants were taken through the basic procedures to recognize the symptoms of COVID-19 to help prevent spread.
