First exploratory seminar on eHealth benefits and cooperation in the southern Mediterranean region

The European Commission, in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications, Information and Network Technologies and the Ministry of Health of Morocco, will hold, in collaboration with the National School of Public Health, a first exploratory seminar on eHealth benefits and cooperation in the southern Mediterranean region on 4 December 2014 in Rabat, Morocco.

This first seminar will be in the format of a conference and open to any party interested to present initiatives or ideas relevant of the take-up of eHealth and telehealth systems in the European Neighborhood Policy countries (ENP) South Region.

The aim of the first seminar is to:

  • identify key relevant stakeholders in the ENP south Mediterraneanregion and the European Union
  • identify common policy and business needs for the development of eHealth systems in the ENP south Mediterraneanregion
  • identify key issues for and barriers to interoperability for transfer electronic health records
  • take a snapshot of relevant activities in the ENP south Mediterraneanregion.

Individuals with experience in the field of eHealth and telehealth are invited to participate, and there are participant spots open to individuals from the Middle East and North Africa region.
