WHO Lebanon, the Ministry of Public Health and the Government of Japan mark the successful upgrade of the Karantina medical supplies warehouse

26 May 2026, Beirut, Lebanon– World Health Organization (WHO) Lebanon, in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Health and with generous support from the Government of Japan, marked the successful completion and official handover of the upgraded medical supplies warehouse represents a major milestone in strengthening Lebanon’s national emergency preparedness and health supply chain resilience. Under the patronage of H.E. the Minister of Public Health Dr Rakan Nassereddine, the handover ceremony brought together Japan’s Ambassador to Lebanon Yokota Kenji, WHO Representative in Lebanon Dr Abdinasir Abubakar and representatives from key health partners.
