In 2017, WHO began a far-reaching transformation process to restructure its mode of work, operating systems and organizational culture. In the Eastern Mediterranean Region, this work is guided by the regional transformation road map with 10 action points which seek to maximize WHO’s impact at the country level and modernize the Organization to be an accountable and catalytic leader for health. Upholding WHO values is our top priority in the Region. Preventing and responding to sexual exploitation, abuse and harassment, incorporating diversity, equity and inclusion, and preventing and addressing abusive conduct serve as the core initiatives for maintaining a respectful workplace, in alignment with the WHO Values Charter.
