10 December 2012 – A one-day consultation workshop with the provincial health department of Punjab was conducted in Lahore on the institutionalization of national protocol (draft) on the health sector's response to gender-based violence under WHO’s gender and health programme, part of the One UN Gender Equality Initiative.

The basic purpose of the workshop was to review the contents and structure of the draft protocol from the perspective of the devolution of the Ministry of Health and to solicit recommendations from provincial level health policy-makers for further implementation.
