A two-week WHO mission to provide technical support to the Ministry of Health Oman in the area of women’s health took place from 1 to 12 December 2012. The mission reviewed current health programmes concerned with women’s health using a lifecycle approach. The team noted that Oman has developed an impressive and comprehensive set of policies for the improvement of women’s health and recognized that the time is right to now develop and implement a more integrated national strategy for women’s health combined with a new quality assurance programme.
