A one-week WHO mission to review the progress of integrating mental health in primary and establish quality assurance indicators for mental health services in primary health care health care took place from 2 to 6 March 2013. The mission recognized Ministry of Health commitment towards the integration of mental health in primary health care. The mission advised that strengthening national capacity to ensure comprehensive policy development and programme planning and implementation and developing a detailed training plan will ensure that mental health can become fully integrated in primary health care. During the visit, the mission had the opportunity to discuss ways to enhance the capacity of school personnel for the prevention and management of common mental disorders among school children.
