A one-week WHO mission, scheduled from 1 to 5 December 2012, aims to provide technical support to the Ministry of Health of Oman on the quality management system for blood transfusion services in Oman. The mission will involve reviewing existing quality standards and guidelines, advising on a mechanism for national external quality assessment and developing a plan for strengthening this system.
