A one-week WHO mission from 22 to 26 September 2012, provided technical support to the Ministry of Health of Oman by reviewing the roles and functions of the Ministry of Health within a multisectoral approach to health in all policies, particularly in the areas of environmental health, occupational health, food safety, nutrition and health security, and recommending approaches to strengthening its public health functions.
