A WHO mission regarding the Practical Approach to Lung Health was held from 19 to 23 January 2014. The mission recognized the strong well-developed health system and appreciated Oman’s interest in strengthening the management of respiratory diseases. The mission proposed PAL as an excellent opportunity upgrade the quality of care of respiratory diseases in primary health care. It would have a positive impact in strengthening the PHC system and enhance chronic respiratory disease management (i.e., asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease).
