A WHO Mission held from 21 to 25 September 2014 assisted  nationals in developing a plan of action for the expansion of prosthetic and orthotics services in the country. The team visited the various public and private institutions in the country to review the available prosthetic and orthotics services including the human resources working in this important aspect of rehabilitation. The mission encouraged more investment in human resources and infrastructure and outlined the steps for improving and progressively expanding the available services at both the national and regional levels.
