This refresher course  targeted  CBI coordinators at the district (wilaya) level. The course focused on key concepts related to the work of CBI such as the principles of community leadership, partnership development and management framework but also important issues included the social determinants of health and Urban HEART.

The course provided an excellent opportunity for participants to obtain new information, share experiences and develop linkages between different regions in the country.

The CBI programme implements grass-roots interventions to address key social determinants of health using an intersectoral approach. Oman has several CBI sites throughout the country, the most well-known being the Nizwa Healthy Lifestyle Project.
