The Sixteenth intercountry meeting of directors of poliovirus laboratories in the WHO Eastern Mediterranean Region was held in Oman from 18 to 21 November 2013.
During the meeting, participants reviewed the performance of the poliovirus laboratories from various countries in the Region and identified strategies for improvement. The Ministry of Health, Oman plays an important role in supporting global efforts in polio eradication, particularly related to laboratory services and support.
