Knowledge Management and Sharing (KMS)
Establishing knowledge management and
sharing as a culture and a way of work throughout the
Regional Office and country offices and in Member States,
and improving generation, sharing and utilization of
knowledge are the key challenges. These comprise issues such
as how to enhance the generation of high quality health
knowledge and ensure that it is shared at all levels and
utilized for decision-making, planning, monitoring and
evaluation; how to ensure better utilization of information
and communication technology applications at the Regional
Office, country offices and in countries for health
information management, knowledge generation, sharing and
utilization; and how to produce and disseminate
publications, documents, reports, websites and health
education materials of high quality that meet the needs of
people, on time and in the right format.
