Ebola outbreak constitutes a major public health issue in Sub-Saharan Africa. In order to provide health care workers in risk areas with a working tool to combat Ebola virus effectively, the WHO headquarters and their partners have produced a guideline for collecting blood from persons suspected to be infected with highly infectious blood borne pathogens.
