WHO and the Ministry of Health launch a fitness and well-being facility at Jordan’s National Centre for Rehabilitation of Addicts

20 August 2025, Amman, Jordan – As part of the World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Director for the Eastern Mediterranean’s flagship Initiative to accelerate public health action on substance use, WHO Jordan and the Ministry of Health inaugurated a new fitness and well-being facility at the National Centre for Rehabilitation of Addicts (NCRA) in Amman.

Jordan launches a national strategy for health sector adaptation to climate change

16 July 2025, Amman, Jordan – Today the Ministry of Health officially launched the National Climate Change Health Sector Adaptation Strategy, developed with technical support from the World Health Organization (WHO), during an event held in Amman. The launch took place under the patronage of  H.E. the Minister of Health Professor Feras Hawari, and in the presence of H.E. the Minister of Environment Dr Muawieh Radaideh.
