27 April 2022 – His Excellency the Minister of Health Professor Feras Hawari and WHO Representative to Jordan Dr Jamela Al-Raiby, in the presence of the technical team from the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization, signed the country support plan 2022–2023, which outlines the areas of WHO support for the ministry for the next 2 years.

The plan was developed in coordination between the Ministry of Health and WHO country office and stems from the Country Cooperation strategy 2021–2025, recently signed at the WHO Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean in Cairo, based on national health priorities, WHO's Thirteenth General Programme of Work, Vision 2023 and United Nations frameworks in Jordan.

Through the support of WHO, the Ministry of Health and other national counterparts will be implementing the plan that encompasses different themes pertaining to the triple billion targets of the GPW13 to expedite progress towards the Sustainable Development Agenda.
