We aim to promote health for all by adopting a multisectoral and community-based approach towards health and our mission is to address the diverse determinants of health by promoting healthy individuals, families, settings and communities.

Who we are

The healthier population programme in the WHO country office supports:

  • improving health across the life span, including reproductive, maternal, neonatal, child and adolescent health;
  • creating a healthy environment, including climate change, air quality, sand and dust storms, waste management in healthcare facilities, water, sanitation, and hygiene;
  • creating healthy workforce and healthy workplaces;
  • creating healthy settings and communities, including engaging communities and addressing the social determinants of health.
