Review of the integration of a human rights-based approach and gender mainstreaming in health sector planning and processes in Yemen

From 17 to 25 January 2009, the Ministry of Public Health and Population, Yemen, with support from the World Health Organization (WHO), carried out a human rights and gender equality review of the third national five-year health development plan and related mechanisms. The purpose of the review was to analyse the integration of a human rights-based approach and gender mainstreaming into health sector planning and processes, and propose strategies and practical actions for further integration.
