The regional consultation on accreditation of health professions education in the Eastern Mediterranean Region was held in Tunisia from 22 to 25 November 2011. The objectives of the consultation were to:

review the progress in accreditation of health professions education in the Region

exchange experience in different countries with different levels of implementation of accreditation focusing on facilitating and impeding factors

review and endorse the Regional Guide of Accreditation of Health Professions Education

develop action plans for accreditation of health professions education institutions and programmes.
