Index Medicus for the Eastern Mediterranean Region (IMEMR)
The Index Medicus for the Eastern Mediterranean Region (IMEMR), is one of the major projects of the Virtual Health Sciences Library. The MEMR was developed by WHO Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean (EMRO) in 1987 responding to urgent needs to remove the access barriers to the national and regional health studies and researches produced by EMR countries.
IMEMR is a unique source of information that provides indexing and abstracting services for archiving, recording, and sharing national and regional health and biomedical sciences literature published in EMR countries.

The institutional digital repository provides access to a range of information products, including publications, WHO governing bodies documentation, annual reports of the Regional Director, his messages and speeches, technical and intercountry meeting reports, videos and WHO campaign materials. It includes bibliographic data with online access to the full text of more than 28,000 official documents.
