Meeting objectives

Raise awareness, share good practices and foster increased commitment to strengthening CRVS through strong national and regional partnerships while promoting country ownership;

Define approaches to strengthen Member States’ capacity to strengthen CRVS;

Reach consensus on an outline for a regional action plan to strengthen CRVS based on the findings of the rapid and comprehensive CRVS assessments.

Promote country’s support for development of comprehensive plan for improving CRVS based on the agreed upon regional strategy

Participants

Senior officials and decision makers from national statistical organizations, civil registration offices, ministries of health and other relevant stakeholders, experts from leading academic institutions and international organizations, as well as members from the donor community.
