Minister of Health reaffirm's Bahrain's commitment to achieving NDC and mental health-related SDG targets

1 October 2022 – Her Excellency Dr Jaleela bint AlSayed Jawad Hasan, Minister of Health in Bahrain, participated in the “Friends of the UN Inter-Agency Task Force on the Prevention and Control of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs)”, during a side event on “Mobilizing resources and technical support with and for Member States to deliver NCD and mental health-related Sustainable Development Goal (SDGs) targets”.

Highlighting Bahrain’s commitment towards achieving NCD and mental health-related SDGs, Her Excellency affirmed the commitment of the Government to strengthen efforts to prevent chronic NCDs and ways to combat them, emphasizing the value of the multisectoral coordination mechanism created to focus on the prevention and control of NCDs. 

Her Excellency Dr Jaleela bint AlSayed Jawad Hasan demonstrated Bahrain's proactive contribution through her keynote speech at the event reaffirming the country's vision of ensuring "Health For All, By All".
