Union Catalog of Health Sciences Journals in EMR. It covers different kind of periodicals/serials holdings of local and international periodicals available in different libraries in the Region.
The most basic function of the of the Union Catalog is to locate the journal title available in each library in the EMR.

Index Medicus for WHO Eastern Mediterranean

EMR Index project started in 1987 by indexing the health and biomedical journals published in the Region in 1984.
The EMR Index Medicus database has become current and as up to date as the journals themselves, which for the first time can provide a current awareness service to what has been published in the Region.
The Index Medicus database is now distributed in three forms: Printed form for the Current Contents
on a quarterly basis; Online access through EMRO Web site on the Internet; and CD-ROM update on
a six monthly basis.

WHO - CEHA Library Database

CEHA Library Database. It includes more than 9,500 titles covering all Environmental Health aspects with clear focus on water supply and sanitation as a priority in the Easter Mediterranean Region. Great portion of the available documents are gray literature on Environmental Health in the region. It includes all the WHO literature on Environmental Health as well as documents from international organizations such as UNEP, UN, US-EPA and others. Records are analyzed using the CEHANET Procedures Manual, CEHA Classification Scheme and CEHANET Interwater Thesaurus.

CEHA Environmental Health Articles Database. It describes the articles available at CEHA library from 52 international journals covering all Environmental Health aspects. It covers articles published since 1988. Articles are fully described including detailed description of titles, authors, subjects and abstracts.

The Regional Office organized the First Regional Conference on Medical Journals in October 2003. This survey was conducted to collect information on medical journals publishing in the Region.
