Health Governance and Financing Team
Health system strengthening for universal health coverage requires political commitment, effective leadership, clear vision,
strong institutions and dynamic health policies. Our work is inspired by the call in the SDGs to “leave no one behind”. We
promote good governance for equitable, effective and efficient health systems, and support the development of appropriate
strategies for financial protection for all so that people do not face financial hardship when they fall sick. We work closely with
development partners to mobilize and align resources towards shared national health goals and commitments.
