Building resilient health systems to advance universal health coverage and promote health security in the Eastern Mediterranean Region

Accelerating the prevention, control and elimination of communicable diseases through integration: optimizing support from Gavi and the Global Fund

Promoting health and well-being in the Eastern Mediterranean Region: moving from theory to action to achieve the health-related Sustainable Development Goals

Advancing the implementation of the One Health approach in the Eastern Mediterranean Region

Regional strategy for fostering digital health in the Eastern Mediterranean Region (2023–2027)

The 4-day programme will also include progress reports on: eradication of poliomyelitis, regional approach to implementing the Thirteenth General Programme of Work, 2019–2023, private sector engagement for advancing universal health coverage, strengthening the nursing workforce to advance universal health coverage in the Region, regional strategy to improve access to medicines and vaccines in the Region, 2020–2030, including lessons from the COVID-19 pandemic, strategic framework for blood safety and availability 2016–2025, health issues facing populations affected by disasters and emergencies, including the International Health Regulations (2005).

These reports provide updates on implementation of resolutions approved by the Regional Committee at previous sessions.

Technical briefings and ministerial lunches offer additional opportunities to discuss technical agenda items.
