Workshop for public health professionals on WHO TEACH-VIP curriculum

TEACH-VIP February 2012 attendeesThe Supreme Council of Health, Qatar, in collaboration with WHO Eastern Mediterranean Regional Office, WHO Headquarters and the WHO Collaborating Centre for Emergency Medicine and Trauma Care of Aga Khan University, Pakistan,  organized this Training of Trainers Workshop in Doha, Qatar, from 21-23 February 2012. The workshop was inaugurated and closed by Dr Mohamed Bin Hamad Al Thani, Director of Public Health, Supreme Council of Health, and brought together twenty-five participants from health and other concerned sectors. A major focus of the workshop was empowering participants to use WHO modular training resources on injury and violence prevention. During the closing session, many of the participants outlined clear and concrete plans for cascaded trainings on injury prevention across a wide variety of sectors and settings in their respective countries.
