The Alliance is seeking applications from institutions in low- and middle-income countries interested in developing rapid review syntheses that are responsive to health system policy needs and priorities. To ensure the timeliness, responsiveness and relevance of reviews supported under this scheme, the Alliance will work with the selected centres to develop a service of rapid synthesis stemming from requests by policymakers.
Three centres with experience/expertise in synthesizing qualitative or mixed methods studies will be awarded funding to conduct rapid reviews in 2016–2017. Of these centres, at least one must be based in a low-income country.
