The Healthier Populations through the Life Course (HPLC) cluster supports the Government of Pakistan in implementing evidence-based public health programmes related to reproductive, maternal, neonatal, child, adolescent health, healthy ageing, nutrition, food safety, climate change, water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) and environmental health.
The HPLC cluster envisions the reduction of morbidity and mortality among women and children, and improvements in the health, well-being and quality of life of populations throughout the life course, including the most vulnerable groups – mothers, newborns, children, adolescents and older people.
HPLC focuses on interventions to improve the quality of their health, determinants of health and nutrition services at various levels of the health care delivery system, while simultaneously promoting healthy environments and healthy lifestyles.
