Donors and partners
In the Syrian Arab Republic, WHO works in close partnership with the Ministry of Health and national health authorities to strengthen the country’s health system and ensure the delivery of essential health services.
WHO collaborates with a wide network of partners, including government institutions, local and international nongovernmental organizations, academic and research institutions, United Nations agencies, donors and community-based actors.
Through these partnerships, WHO supports national leadership in coordinating health action, shaping policies, setting standards, strengthening health systems, building workforce capacity and promoting evidence-based public health practices. By aligning humanitarian and development efforts, WHO helps ensure that health interventions are effective, accountable and responsive to the needs of people across Syria.
