Supported by the Pandemic Fund, the training – held on 23 to 27 November 2025 – equipped participants with the knowledge and practical skills needed to evaluate mosquito resistance to insecticides.

Vector control is a national public health priority. Aligned with wider WHO Egypt support to CPHL as it establishes and operationalizes a vector-borne diseases laboratory, the workshop strengthened Egypt’s capacity to monitor insecticide resistance, an integral component of vector surveillance systems.
