The strategic framework for blood safety and availability (2016–2025), with its accompanying framework for action and priority interventions, is intended to guide countries in developing and strengthening national blood systems to ensure the continuity, sufficiency, sustainability and security of national supplies of safe and efficacious blood and blood components to meet national needs.

WHO’s Project Atlas 2014 collected and compiled information about global mental health resources. This regional review incorporates region-specific data and presents comparisons with other regions. It is hoped that it will assist stakeholders in countries of the Region to identify gaps in current provision and inform decisions around increasing resources to scale up services for mental health.
