This bilingual document, developed by the WHO Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean, gives information about the NCD Kit, which is a pre-packed set of essential medicines and medical devices to meet priority noncommunicable disease (NCD) health needs of 10 000 people for three months in emergencies, when medical facilities and regular supply has been disrupted. It contains five sections: (1) what is an NCD Kit; (2) rationale behind the NCD Kit; (3) selections of medicines and medical devices included in the NCD Kit; (4) structure and content of the basic NCD Kit; and (5) insulin and cold chain.
