Dr Yagob Al Mazrou, Chairman of the RCC, expressed concern about the prevailing security situation and political instability in some countries of the Region which is not only affecting the quality of polio eradication efforts in these countries but also threatens to affect quality in neighbouring countries. The Chairman expressed the hope that the Region would see the end of polio in the very near future.
