World AIDS Day 2010 is dedicated to human rights in the context of universal access to HIV prevention, treatment and care. Universal access to HIV prevention, treatment and care is a human right.
The World AIDS Day 2010 campaign celebrates advances in commitment, attitudes and response to the HIV epidemic. However, World AIDS Day 2010 is also the time to reflect on the stigma and discrimination that persist against those living with HIV and those most vulnerable to it. |

This slogan for the day this year is "I Am Stopping TB". The slogan is reflecting the reality that every one of us; the health leaders, the health workers, the patients, the family, and the community members has a role to do to stop TB.
Stop TB unit in in the Regional Office is planning this year to launch the Regional STOP TB partnership aiming at gathering the efforts of all partners in the region to participate in stopping TB. |

This year’s overall message is one of urgency and shared responsibility. The main focus is on advocating for the fact that only through unified action on all levels, will we have the power to reach a wider audience, to overcome the challenges facing us and eventually put an end to the suffering from tuberculosis in the Region. |
