WHO participated in an international conference on occupational health and safety which was held in Oman from 25–26 March 2013. Occupational health is a comparatively new area of work in Oman. The Regulation of Occupational Safety and Health issued by the Ministry of Manpower in 2008 helps set the agenda for occupational safety in Oman.
