Jordan opens advanced regional medical warehouses in Ma’an Governorate
1 July 2025, Ma’an, Jordan – Jordan has officially inaugurated 4 modernized regional warehouses for medicines and medical supplies in Ma’an Governorate. The facilities were launched under the patronage of H.E. the Minister of Health Professor Feras Hawari, with support from the European Union (EU) and in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO) Country Office in Jordan.
The upgraded warehouses are a cornerstone of Jordan’s strategy to modernize medical supply chains and ensure the efficient and equitable delivery of essential medicines and vaccines.

17 June 2025 – Jordan has taken a bold step to make its roads safer with the ratification of a new drink-driving law that meets World Health Organization (WHO) best practice criteria.
With technical support from WHO, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan introduced legislation that lowers the legal blood alcohol concentration (BAC) limit for drivers to 0.05 grams of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood for the general population, bringing the country closer to global standards that save lives.
