Provisional committees

According to the decision of the Forum of Eastern Mediterranean Stop TB Partnership on 6 May 2008, the following committees with members were constituted:

Resource Mobilization Committee

In coordination with the Board & the Partnership Secretariat,

• The committee will develop a Resource Mobilization plan at regional level including identification of potential financial sources

• Conduct key actions to mobilize resources and will include

  • Juma Bilal (UAE)

  • Samia Abou El Nagga (Egypt)

  • Salah Al-awaidy (Oman)

  • Katya Hashem (Syria)

  • Mohmaed Bahhrieba (Saudi)

  • Maher Mamlouk (Syria)

  • Chamber of Commerce & Industry (Pakistan)

  • Ibrahim Kerdani & Mojalid (WHO)

  • Patient Help Fund (Kuwait)

  • Dr Rafda Askar (Egypt)

Working group to scale up TB care

In coordination with the Board & Partnership Secretariat, the working group will:

• Support the activities to scale up the Stop TB Strategy in the countries

• Assist countries in addressing challenges faced in the implementation of Stop TB Strategy and include

  •  Dr Naguiba lotfi (Rotary, Egypt)

  • Mrs. Hanem (Civil society, Egypt)

  • NTP managers of the Region
